Tax Planning, Preparation, and Extensions of Time to File Made Easy!
Most CPA firms charge you an administrative fee of usually $50 to $75 to prepare your extension form. You'll be charged time at over $100 per hour if a CPA prepares the extension him or herself. Be cautious! This fee is usually hidden in the total fees for tax return services invoiced to you upon completion of your tax return later in the year. Give us a call, we'll tell you how "we know what we know", and why we're sure you're paying too much! If you're not ready, we'll prepare an extension of time to file for you in just minutes, for much less! You can also reserve completion of your Tax Return on-line today, guaranteeing that your return will be completed and filed by the due date.
Just answer a few simple questions, and we can file the "Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File US Individual Income Tax Return" for the applicable reporting year for you. Individual extension requests extend your tax return due date with the IRS and corresponding State from April 15th (and usually May 1st for the State) to October 15th (and usually November 1st for the State.) For your business, estate or trust, we'll complete the appropriate extension request form for an automatic extension of time to file for up to 6 months with both the IRS and corresponding State. If you are a fiscal filer (your tax year does not end on December 31st), please contact our offices for more information. Some returns, including Partnerships, Estates, and Trusts are granted only a 5 month automatic extension. Your confirmation number and written receipt from the IRS will be provided to you within minutes of filing. For a complete listing of Tax Forms for which an Extension can be filed on your behalf through ARTCorp's on-line service, please click here.
Please note that in most states when filing an automatic extension of time to file your return with the IRS, you will automatically receive up to a 6 month extension of time to file your State return. No separate state form is required. If you do not file an extension form with the IRS however, you must file a formal request directly with your State to be granted additional time...it is not automatic! Also note that you should pay your estimated taxes owed with your individual, business, estate, or trust tax return by the original due date (for both Federal and State) to prevent penalties and interest charges. If you would like to make a payment with your extension request, please contact us toll free to arrange to pay by credit card, electronic funds transfer, or personal check using our secure service. If you are uncertain whether you will owe the IRS or your State this year, please contact us, and we will gladly review your individual circumstances with you, and provide you a proforma tax projection to estimate taxes that may be owed, which in most instances, can be done right over the phone.
